What is different about renting in Humboldt County?
Renting a porta potty in Humboldt County comes down to five local factors: climate, permits, the big event weekends, the type of work in the area, and road access. In Humboldt County, these decide where the unit goes, when to book and which unit fits.
- Southern Humboldt only. Our 80-mile area reaches about as far north as Miranda on the Avenue of the Giants. Eureka and Fortuna are outside it.
- Festival summers. Summer gatherings near Piercy and Garberville need service plans, accessible units and hand-wash stations. Book 2 to 3 weeks ahead.
- Steep back roads. Many parcels sit up steep dirt roads. Towable units and photo checks prevent failed deliveries.
- Heavy winter rain. Units go on gravel or plywood in winter, and service days move when roads close.
- County permits. Right-of-way placements go through Humboldt County Public Works.
