Which portable toilet type is right for my job?

The right portable toilet depends on three things: who uses it, whether food is served, and whether the site has water and power. Standard units fit work crews. Sink and flushing units fit parties. Wheelchair-accessible units belong at every public event. Restroom trailers fit weddings with hookups.

All units arrive clean, stocked with toilet paper and deodorizer. Prices are quoted per unit with delivery and pickup itemized.

When each unit is the wrong choice

Each unit type has a limit. Restroom trailers fail without level ground, water and power. Standard units fall short where guests eat with their hands. Flushing units run out of rinse water at high-traffic events. Hand-wash stations are not toilets and never replace one in a Cal/OSHA count.

Unit questions

Will a porta potty fit through my side gate?

A standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide, so it needs a gate opening of at least 48 inches plus room for two people to carry it. A wheelchair-accessible unit is about 7 feet wide and needs truck access, not a gate.

Do any portable toilets flush?

Flushing units use a foot pump to rinse the bowl with fresh water from an onboard tank. Restroom trailers have real flush toilets connected to a holding tank.

Which unit is easiest for kids and older guests?

Wheelchair-accessible units have a ground-level floor with no step, more room inside and grab bars, which helps kids, older guests and parents with strollers.
