When to Book a Porta Potty for a Weekend Event: A Timeline
From the first call to Monday pickup, here is how a weekend rental runs and what to have ready at each step.

How far ahead should I book an event porta potty?
Book an event porta potty 1 to 2 weeks ahead for a summer weekend, 3 weeks ahead for the Fourth of July, Labor Day or a local fair weekend, and 2 to 4 months ahead for a wedding restroom trailer. Weekday events and off-season weekends often book with 2 or 3 days' notice.
The week before: what to decide
The week before your event, settle four things: the final headcount, the number and type of units, the exact placement spot, and who will be on site for delivery. Changing quantity is easy up to the day before delivery; a call or text is all it takes.
- Headcount and hours → unit count (calculator).
- Food served → add a hand-wash station or a sink unit.
- Public event → at least one wheelchair-accessible unit.
Friday: delivery day
For a Saturday or Sunday event, units arrive on Friday. The driver places each unit on level ground within 25 feet of the truck, checks the paper and sanitizer, and texts a photo when done. Leave the gate open or put the code on the order.
Event day: keep it simple
On event day, the units need no attention for a party of normal size. Put a small trash can beside the door for paper towels, add a solar path light for evening, and keep the doors closed so the deodorizer works. Large events can book a mid-event service.
Monday: pickup
Units are picked up on Monday, at no extra charge for the extra days. Nobody needs to be home. Leave the gate open and keep cars clear of the truck path. If you want them gone sooner, call and we will try to fit an earlier pickup.
